Even though our divorce agreement clearly stated that the tax balance was to be split 50/50, the IRS pursed me alone for the full amount years later. There's something to be said when I ask two of my good attorney friends who they would recommend and without hesitation, mentioned SDDL. After 12 years of a custody order that seemed to be working for all parties, my ex husband decided to take me back to court to try to flip the 80/20 custody to his favor, and to get child support in his behalf. Emotions instantly take over and fear sets in. Your head automatically thinks the worst. I didn't have a great view of the law, so to speak, never mind, the mindset of a lawyer.
